Here are two things you need to never forget about diet and exercise: first, you build muscle to lose fat, and second, you lose fat to build muscle. How does the body do this? Thankfully, Mother Nature made some ingenious design functions within the human body. Here are three that most people don’t know:
The body responds positively to a negative workout.
Negative strength training – that is, lowering more weight than you can lift – triggers multiple hormones in your body (and in higher amounts) for increased muscle gain and fat loss. It’s a scientific fact. Remember, it’s not how much you lift, it’s how much you lower.
As you get stronger, you should exercise less.
That’s not a typo. You need harder, briefer, and less frequent exercise as you progress through a health and fitness program. This is the biggest mistake almost everyone makes. They believe that they should do more and more and more. That’s scientifically proven to be WRONG. At X-Force Body, we teach you how to do less to get more.
Almost all the progress you make, happens while you sleep.
Most of the fat you lose every 24 hours when you are on a diet and exercise program happens while you sleep. And 99 percent of the muscle building you achieve every day occurs while you sleep. Yet, the average adult gets less than 6 hours of sleep a night. You need at least 8 ½ hours of sleep every night. Otherwise, your fat burning efforts are severely hampered.
